Structural applications of SDT are governed by the connection methods. The core method adopted in the Final Report of European Commission’s FP4 Project FAIR CT 95-0091 is the embedded laced joint, right. This had been developed at TU Delft, the Netherlands, a partner in the EC project (1995-1998). The Report may be accessed at:
www.vtt.fi/inf/pdf/publications/1999/P383.pdf
Developments in SDT utilization reported by the Forest Products Laboratory, USA also use similar connection joints. |
